Frequently Asked Questions

How many people are allowed with you during your visit? And are there age limits?

Generally about 6-8 people, we're not super picky if you an extra or two though! We have a kids room specifically because we have no age limit! And yes they are allowed in the room with you!

Recommended weeks for appointment?

These are listed with the packages on the package page.

What is the difference between 3D ultrasound and 4D/HD ultrasound?

3D is a still image while 4D adds the dimension of motion so it looks like a video. HD offers a more clear, concise, and defined image.

What is your facility like?

We pride ourselves on being an inviting, relaxing, comfortable, and spacious environment for you and your family.

Is 3D and 4D/HD ultrasound safe for me and my baby?

3D and 4D/HD ultrasound use the same frequency as your doctor uses in the normal 2D ultrasound. Ultrasounds have been used for over 35 years and there have been no proven side effects from its proper use. We strictly adhere to the FDA's standards.

Do you accept insurance?

No, we do not accept insurance because this is an elective procedure.

How good are you at determining the sex of the baby?

At 16 weeks we can determine the gender with a very high accuracy. If you are over 16 weeks and the gender can not be seen, we invite you back for a weekday return appointment and we will rescan you for free within the next 14 days. The need for a return visit is usually due to the baby's position.

How can I be sure to get the best possible 3D/4D/HD pictures?

Most doctors recommend maintaining a healthy fluid intake, especially while you are pregnant. This will help to ensure your amniotic fluid is clear as well as full. There are many things out of the sonographer's control like the baby's position, the mother's build, amount of amniotic fluid, etc.

What should I do prior to the 3D/4D/HD appointment?

Drink plenty of water even several days before your appointment to ensure your amniotic fluid is clear. About a half hour before your 3D/4D/HD ultrasound scan, try to drink cold water or a fruit juice so that your baby will be awake during your session (unless you are told not to by your physician).

How long is the 3D/4D/HD ultrasound session?

Depending on the ultrasound package that you select, your session will last between 10 and 25 minutes. However, plan on spending 30 minutes to an hour at our studio so that we can send you home with memories to last a life time. It is best to arrive a few minutes early to fill out our paperwork.

Are family and friends welcome to join?

Yes! We encourage you to bring your friends and family to share this special moment with you. Children are also welcome. At our location our ultrasound room can comfortably seat 6-8, if you have more youd like to bring please contact us.

When do I get my 3D/4D/HD pictures and videos?

Less than 5 minutes after your session has ended. We have you download an app while at our office and the machine is able to transfer the images and videos directly to your phone for easy access.
